A Center Parcs worker died after the bicycle she was riding was hit by an off-road buggy, an inquest heard.

Penny Bulpitt, 67, a grandmother from Luton, was struck by the electric Yamaha vehicle driven by another member of staff at the Woburn Forest site.

In a tribute, her family said: "She was loved by everyone who knew her."

Dr Sean Cummings, an assistant coroner for Bedfordshire, adjourned the inquest pending the outcome of a police investigation.

Paramedics were called to the site in Millbrook, Bedfordshire on 22 September.

She died the next day at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

The hearing was told the cause of death was severe traumatic skull fracture and brain injuries.
