A man, woman and a child were injured when they were hit by a car in Milton Keynes that police say failed to stop.

The car collided with the three people who were crossing the H7 Chaffron Way at the junction with Strudwick Drive in Oldbrook just after 13:30 GMT on Friday.

The driver made off towards the V6 Grafton Street, police said.

A 39-year-old man suffered a broken left ankle and broken wrist.

The woman, 35, and child, sustained less serious injuries, with all three taken to hospital for treatment.

James Holmes, from Thames Valley Police, appealed for any witnesses to contact the force.
