Man accused of Milton Keynes underpass attack denies murder

A man accused of an attack in an underpass has pleaded guilty to unlawful killing but denied murder.

John Davies, 34, from Glebe Farm in Milton Keynes, died from head injuries three days after the alleged assault in Wavendon Gate on 23 October.

A post-mortem examination listed the preliminary cause of death as blunt force trauma to the head.

Wesley Atick, 26, from Buxton Close, Glebe Farm, was next due to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on 16 January.

A 27-year-old woman from Milton Keynes, who was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice, has been bailed until 26 January.
