Red Bull boss 'excited' for future of Milton Keynes F1 base

The boss of F1 team Red Bull said he is "excited" about the future of their "centre of excellence".
Christian Horner joined F1 drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez for a homecoming parade at Red Bull's headquarters in Milton Keynes.
Verstappen won his third world title in October and recorded 19 victories, while Perez won two races.
"The investment that has been made here in the UK, here in Milton Keynes, has been phenomenal," Horner said.
About 2,000 staff celebrated the team's success on Wednesday, welcoming their star racing drivers back to base.
Horner paid tribute to the entire team working behind the scenes at the site in Tilbrook.
"With the engine business as well, it's a true campus," he said.
"To see both drivers come back after such a successful year - you could see what it meant to the staff that have all worked so hard to provide them with the amazing cars that they've driven this year," he added.
But the team principal said he does not believe Red Bull's 2023 season will be repeated in his lifetime.
"With such strong opposition as well, such strong teams and stable regulations - I am sure next year is going to be a lot closer, a lot tighter and a different kind of challenge," he said.
However, he said he was still looking forward with great enthusiasm.
"We head into our 20th year next year, and to think we've won 13 championships," Horner said.
"The exciting thing is the future. We are now building our own engine on site here in Milton Keynes, in preparation for 2026."
He said more than 2,000 people were working on the campus "across all the different businesses" and "supporting with advanced technology".
"As a centre of excellence, we're attracting and developing some of the most incredible talent within the industry," he added.
