Police warn of 'hazardous' batch of heroin in Watford

Four people are believed to have fallen ill recently after using the Class A drug in Watford

Police have warned the public to be aware of a potentially hazardous batch of heroin.

The Hertfordshire force said the drug was known to be circulating around Watford and investigations were under way.

It appealed for anyone with information to get in touch and urged people to look out for signs of overdosing.

Four people are believed to have fallen ill recently after using the Class A drug in the area.

A Hertfordshire Police spokesperson said: "We are currently making inquiries in relation to the origin of the affected batch of drugs.

"If you have any information which may assist our inquiries please contact the non-emergency number 101 or report information online."
