Police are seeking information after a man died near the A1M in Hertfordshire

A 47-year-old man has died after his convertible car left a motorway in Hertfordshire.

The man, from London, was driving a black Renault Megane convertible that crashed on the A1(M) between South Mimms and Welham Green.

Police said the car ended up on its side and the man died at the scene.

Any witnesses who were in the area between 06:00 GMT and 06:30 have been asked to contact police with more information.
