Former officer Sabrina Kaur admitted to a charge of perverting the course of justice

A former police officer has admitted to perverting the course of justice in relation to a speeding fine.

Sabrina Kaur, who worked for Bedfordshire Police, pled guilty to the charge at Cambridge Crown Court.

She appeared alongside PCSO Michael Tura, 21, and Adil Rahman, 26, who denied the same charge.

Bedfordshire Police had said: "The incident relates to a speeding fine while both were off-duty."

The force said that Ms Kaur, from Luton, had resigned on the day of an accelerated case hearing last month.

During the hearing she was found to have breached the standards of professional behaviour for honesty and integrity and discreditable conduct.

The 22-year-old would have faced instant dismissal had she not already resigned.

A trial date has been set for 21 October for the two men.

Ms Kaur will not be sentenced until the conclusion of that trial.
