Royal Berkshire Hospital heart patients get new machine

Patients at the Royal Berkshire Hospital are set to benefit from a new piece of equipment to help people suffering from heart failure.

The £40,000 cardiac machine was bought by funds raised by the hospital's League of Friends charity.

The portable echo machine will be used by clinical staff in the cardiology department and will assist with treatment.

It is one of the biggest single gifts made by the volunteers of the league.
