Cuts to Berkshire's fire and rescue service are due to be discussed at a meeting on Monday.

Royal Berkshire Fire Authority is due to discuss proposals to cut £1.48m from its service budget at the management committee meeting.

The Fire Brigades Union is urging the authority to produce a risk assessment before any cuts are made, saying lives will be put at risk.

The meeting will take place in Reading at 1930 GMT.
