Storm has the ability to fly "far and wide", its handler said

A search is under way for a peregrine falcon which went missing from a falconry centre in Berkshire.

The bird of prey, which is part of a display team at Ladd's Garden Centre in Reading, flew away during a training session on Monday.

Its handler said Storm will not be able to survive for long in the wild so it is important he is found.

The six year old has a cream chest and a grey back. He is said to be tame and could be on a rooftop.

Sadie Shepherd, from the centre, said Storm is "much loved" and has the ability to fly "far and wide".

Anyone who spots the bird is asked to contact the centre.
