Sewer upgrade to prevent Thatcham flooding

Work is being carried out to prevent sewer flooding which has beset part of a Berkshire town in recent years.
The £450,000 upgrade of pipes in Northfield Road, Thatcham is to prevent sewers overflowing during heavy rainfall.
Thames Water's Andrew Popple said: "Sewer flooding is utterly miserable and has no place in the 21st century."
Some road closures will be in place during the work, which is expected to last for six weeks.
