Man who died after Ikea goods lift accident named

A contractor who died at an Ikea store in Reading has been named.
Joaquin Palacios Fernandez, 41, from Salteras, near Seville in Spain was working on a hydraulic goods lift when he died. An inquest into his death has since been opened.
The Swedish furniture shop was closed all day following the incident at about 02:30 BST on 19 October.
Javier Quinones, the firm's deputy retail manager for the UK and Ireland, said an investigation was under way.
"We cannot comment any further on the cause of the incident until we have the results of an investigation being conducted by Ikea, the contractor, Thames Valley Police and Environment Health Officers," he said.
