A teenager has been arrested after a man was stabbed during a drive-by fight outside a pub.

Police said the victim, aged in his late 20s, suffered several stab wounds after a group of men jumped out of a car, attacked him, then made off.

A cordon has been set up in the area outside The Station Tap in Station Road, Wokingham, following the stabbing at 21:50 BST on Monday.

Officers have been questioning the 18-year-old man from Farnborough.

He has been arrested suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

'Isolated incident'

Thames Valley Police said the fight was believed to have involved "up to five people". The victim did not suffer life-threatening injuries.

Det Insp Ash Mohmood said he believed the group of men - aged in their late teens to early 20s - jumped out of a dark-coloured hatchback thought to be a Ford Fiesta or a Volkswagen Polo, before assaulting the man.

He added: "I would like to reassure the community that I believe this to be an isolated incident."

The force has urged members of the public not to share images of the attack, which may have been circulated on social media.
