- Published
Police patrols have been stepped up in Slough after "numerous reports" of a knife-wielding man threatening people in the town.
The man - who was seen in the Harvey Park area at about 11:10 BST on Saturday - also stole a car, Thames Valley Police said.
The force confirmed a 30-year-old man, of no fixed abode, was arrested and remained in police custody.
A "high-visibility police presence" would remain at the site, police said.
Supt Lee Barnham said officers were not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
An investigation is under way and any witness have been urged to call 101.
