Slough: Kiosks fitted with defibrillators planned for town

The hubs with a integrated defibrillator are planned for five locations throughout the town
A network of kiosks fitted with defibrillators are being planned for Slough town centre.
The five hubs will also have a phone, Wi-Fi, wayfinding, device charging and an emergency service call button.
They are set to stand outside the Porter Building, the Brunel Way Tesco, the Curve, and near the Queensmere Observatory shopping centre entrances.
Two of the hubs have been approved by Slough Borough Council with decisions pending on the remaining three.
The hubs have been designed to serve as a modern alternative to traditional phone boxes.
The units are expected to be powered by green energy and lit with solar-powered, high-capacity batteries.
The back of each booth is designed to display messages, from commercial advertising to public announcements.
