A councillor credited with playing a key role in bringing his local football club back to their hometown has died.
Roger Davis, a member of Slough Borough Council for 15 years, died on 8 November aged 83.
The council said Mr Davis - a lifelong Slough FC supporter - had been "instrumental" in the building of the Arbour Park stadium.
The club moved into the stadium after more than a decade of ground sharing agreements in neighbouring areas.
The club and the council have both paid tribute to Mr Davis.
In a statement, the council said: "Roger was instrumental in bringing the club back to Slough with the building of the Arbour Park stadium; an achievement he was extremely proud of.
"Our thoughts are with his family and friends."
