Police praised Richard Still's victim for coming forward

A dance teacher has been jailed for child sex offences following a police investigation.

Richard Still, 38, from Earley, previously pleaded guilty to three counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl under 16.

He also pleaded guilty to one count of causing or inciting child prostitution or pornography.

Still was sentenced to six years and eight months in prison at Reading Crown Court on Tuesday.

He was also made subject to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and indefinite conditions upon his release from prison.

Det Con Rivkah Winetroube, from Thames Valley Police's Child Abuse Investigation Unit, said: "The child in this case has been very brave in coming forward and I would encourage anyone who has been a victim of childhood sexual abuse to report it to police.

"We always take allegations of this nature seriously, regardless of how much time has passed and a full investigation will take place."
