Wheelchair-users currently cannot access some of the platforms at Tilehurst Railway Station
Lifts are set to be installed at a railway station after years of campaigning by local residents.
The lifts at Tilehurst Railway Station near Reading, Berkshire will allow better access to passengers with wheelchairs, pushchairs or heavy luggage.
Currently platforms 2, 3 and 4 are only accessible using steps.
The work, which will be carried out by Network Rail, is expected to start in February.

The rail authority had initially hoped to complete the project in the Autumn last year but it is understood it needed time to appoint contractors for the construction.
Installation of the lifts will be completed later this year according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
Great Western Railway runs services from Tilehurst to Reading and London Paddington in the east and Didcot Parkway in the west.
