Walsall war memorial targeted by thieves

Thieves have stolen copper from the roof of a Walsall war memorial which was repaired months ago following previous raids.
Walsall Council said the theft happened at Barr Beacon, Aldridge, between 25 and 27 April.
A spokeswoman said half the metal on the roof was taken with repairs likely to cost thousands of pounds.
The memorial was built to honour men from Staffordshire and Warwickshire who died in the First World War.
'Targeted again'
Kevin Clements, Walsall Council countryside services manager, said: "Once again we are facing a repair bill running into thousands of pounds yet the scrap value of the metal taken was virtually nothing.
"It seems that as soon as we repair the war memorial it is targeted again."
Fifteen thousand pounds was spent on repairs and increased security following two similar raids last year.
West Midlands Police has appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
