A man has died after he was stabbed in Handsworth, in Birmingham.

Emergency services were called to Thornhill Road just after 09:20 GMT following reports of a disturbance.

The man was treated by medics at the scene and taken to hospital but died a short time later.

A 35-year-old man has been arrested by West Midlands Police as part of a murder inquiry. The road remains closed while officers are at the scene.
