Man charged with murder after Handsworth double stabbing

A man has been charged with murder after a double stabbing in Birmingham.

Lukasz Furmanek, 24, was found unconscious and bleeding in the Handsworth area in the early hours of 31 May and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 31-year-old man was also stabbed and received treatment in hospital.

Abdullah Atiqzoy, 18, from Elizabeth Crescent, Oldbury, will appear at Birmingham Crown Court on Thursday.

Two men, aged 18 and 19, are on bail until next month pending further inquiries, West Midlands Police said.
