A crashed car landed on top of another car parked on a driveway after careering off a road late at night.
An 18-year-old man was arrested following the crash, which left two other teenagers seriously injured.
Ambulance crews called to Ward End in Birmingham at 01:00 BST "found a badly damaged car which had left the road and landed on top of a parked car".
The teenager was arrested on suspicion of car theft, leaving the scene, and failing to report an accident.
He remained in custody on Sunday afternoon, West Midlands Police said.
One of the two injured teenagers was being treated at Heartlands Hospital and the other at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
"One teenager suffered a suspected fractured jaw, lacerations to his face and suspected fractures to his lower leg," West Midlands Ambulance Service said.
"The second teenager, upon assessment by medics, was found to have suffered suspected serious injuries to his leg and pelvis.
"Thankfully, the parked car was unoccupied."
