West Midlands Police said the Keon Lincoln investigation was a "vast and complex inquiry"

Det Ch Insp Alastair Orencas said: "This is a really fast-moving inquiry. We are dealing with a real volume of information but it is gathering a real pace, and I'm very pleased and very proud of the engagement from the community."

Earlier two suspects aged 15 and 16 arrested in connection with the case were released on bail.

Three 14-year-old boys who were also arrested as part of the investigation were released on Wednesday.

West Midlands Police had been given extra time to question the 15 and 16-year olds, who were arrested at an address in Walsall in the early hours of Sunday.

The police believe there is a possibility the death could be gang-related and at the vigil, Pastor Neville Popo said: "The postcode war needs to stop."

He added: "We now have to learn to respect each other and love each other in the way that we ought to love each other."

Keon's mother, Sharmaine Lincoln, has pleaded with the local community to "help us understand why this has happened".
