Walsall: Man dies in van and lorry crash on M6

The northbound carriageaway could be shut for "a few hours" on Sunday, police said

A man has died in a crash on the M6 when a van collided with the back of a lorry.

The collision happened on the northbound side between junctions 10, for Walsall, and 10a, for the M54, West Midlands Police said.

The man, aged in his 40s, died at the scene and the force has appealed for witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage to contact them.

The northbound carriageway was closed after the crash.

Drivers have been urged to avoid the area with nearly two miles of congestion and 20 minute delays reported by National Highways.
