New traffic cameras planned to monitor Birmingham streets

New cameras could be on the way to Birmingham as the city council aims to target more drivers breaking traffic laws.

The six cameras will monitor things like illegal turns and vehicles stopping in yellow box junctions, with drivers facing a £70 fine.

Councillor Liz Clements, cabinet member for transport, said the aim was to make roads safer for both motorists and pedestrians.
