Police cordoned off Hamstead Road in Lozells after shots were fired
A man has been arrested after a shooting in Birmingham.
Police cordoned off Hamstead Road in the Lozells area after gunshots were fired at about 18:00 GMT on Friday.
Three 19-year-olds were injured, but West Midlands Police said their injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
The force said it was stepping up patrols in the area and examining CCTV as it appealed for witnesses to come forward.
One of the men was treated by paramedics for a gunshot wound to his leg before being taken to hospital.
The other two men went to hospital separately later - one had injuries to his foot and the other to his chest.

The road remains closed for forensic examinations
The man shot in the foot has been discharged, but police said the other two remained in hospital in a stable condition.
Officers said they arrested an 18-year-old man nearby shortly after the shots were fired on suspicion of possessing a knife.
He remains in custody while the scene continues to be cordoned off.
Det Insp Matt Underwood said: "We have already spoken with a number of people who were at the scene but we would also urge anyone who can help further with our inquiries to get in touch."
