Vehicles driven through flood in Birmingham after water main bursts

A burst pipe has flooded streets and led to the closure of schools in part of Birmingham.

West Midlands Fire Service was called to Aston Hall Road, Aston, at its junction with Lichfield Road at about 05:30 BST.

Lichfield Road was closed in both directions and two schools in the area shut.

Water supplies for homes and businesses were later restored and Severn Trent apologised for the disruption.
