Driver dies in two-car crash in Darlaston

A 20-year-old man died at the scene on Heath Road on Wednesday morning

A driver died when his car was involved in a crash in Walsall.

The 20-year-old was driving a Ford Focus that was in collision with a black BMW on Heath Road, Darlaston, at around 04:00 BST on Wednesday.

The man died at the scene and a boy, 15, and a 14-year-old girl, who were also in the Focus, were taken to hospital, West Midlands Police said.

The 27-year-old driver of the BMW was also taken to hospital and he was later arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

Officers have appealed for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
