Jason Scott died at the scene of the crash on Pershore Road

A man who died in a car crash has been described as a "doting son, father, grandfather, brother and husband".

Jason Scott, 47, was in a Seat Ibiza that collided with two other vehicles on Pershore Road, in Birmingham, at around 12:35 BTS on Monday.

The collision happened minutes after the Seat failed to stop for officers. It was not being pursued at the time, West Midlands Police said.

Mr Scott's family paid tribute, to him adding he was "taken from us too soon".

Mr Scott was confirmed dead at the scene while another woman was taken to hospital. The force said her injuries were not life-threatening.

It has asked people not to share any footage on social media, because it might compromise the investigation and out of respect for the families involved.
