Draft images of how a shopping centre might look after it was revamped have been released.

The Saddlers Centre in Walsall will be overhauled as part of a £1.5bn programme of investment to transform the borough.

The council said it hoped to diversify the town centre and move away from a focus on retail.

Other plans to transform the town include planting more trees and improving public transport.

Walsall Council's deputy leader Adrian Andrew said the images showed their ambition for Walsall.

"We are working with partners and stakeholders to turn these plans into reality; there is lots to look forward to," he added.
