Murder charge over fatal Birmingham stabbing

A man has been charged with murder after a 28-year-old man was stabbed in Birmingham.

Mahmoud Alabdullah, was found seriously injured in Cherrywood Road, Bordesley Green, on Sunday, West Midlands Police said.

Mr Alabdullah died in hospital and his family said his loss "will be felt by everyone that knew him".

Tarik Al-Mitheab, 21, from Bordesley Green has appeared before Birmingham magistrates accused of his murder.

Mr Al-Mitheab is next due at the city's crown court on Friday.

Three other men arrested in connection with the killing have been released on bail.

Paying tribute in a statement, Mr Alabdullah's family said: "He was a kind and lovely person to spend time with. He brought smiles to everyone who knew him."

The force said it was "offering support to his loved ones at this deeply distressing time".
