Cannabis plants found in former nightclub in Birmingham

Police found 973 plants inside
Almost a thousand cannabis plants have been found in a former nightclub adjoining a Birmingham restaurant.
Officers discovered plants growing across two floors with a "sophisticated hydroponics set-up" in the building on Fleet Street in the Jewellery Quarter.
The electricity supply was made safe by Western Power before the plants and equipment were removed.
No one was there when officers arrived on Thursday, but enquiries are ongoing, West Midlands Police said.
