A man has been stabbed in the leg in an attack at a city centre nightclub.

Police were called to Pryzm on Broad Street, Birmingham, following reports of violence at around 01:20 GMT on Sunday.

A man in his twenties was taken to hospital with knife wounds to his leg.

Club bosses said they would work with detectives, who were carrying out CCTV enquiries to identify who was responsible.

A Pryzm spokesperson said: "The safety of our guests is our number one priority and we are cooperating fully with the ongoing police investigation."

No arrests have been made and West Midlands Police said the victim was expected to make a full recovery.
