Tributes have been paid following the death of a "beautiful and intelligent" 13-year-old girl.

The body of Kiera Alexis Devine was found near Tudor Grange Park in Solihull on Monday.

West Midlands Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious and its thoughts were with Kiera's loved ones.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to support relatives and help with funeral costs.

More than £15,000 had been raised by Friday morning after 1,000 people donated.

Lisa Clarke, who organised the fundraiser, said family members were heartbroken.

'Beautiful young soul'

"No parent should have to go through the trauma of losing a child," the GoFundMe page read.

"Kiera was such a beautiful, intelligent young soul with her whole life ahead of her who will now be forever 13.

"[She] has left a very heartbroken, devastated family who have no real answers as of yet."

A police spokesperson said officers were called just before 17:00 GMT on Monday following concerns for the welfare of a 13-year-old girl in Solihull.

A statement read: "Tragically, a short time later the youngster's body was found in woodland near Tudor Grange Park.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been informed."
