The jury at Birmingham Crown Court heard how CCTV and cell phone data tracked the movements of the accused

A jury has been shown a series of CCTV clips which map the moments leading up to a drive-by shooting in which two children were injured.

A girl, 11, and 15-year-old boy suffered leg wounds after being hit in the crossfire of a "murderous feud" between armed gangs, the court heard.

The victims had been in a playground in Wolverhampton on 1 May. Both have recovered from their injuries.

Three Wolverhampton men deny attempted murder of a person unknown.

Kian Durnin, 22, of Milton Road, Martinho De-Sousa, 24, of Deansfield Road and Tireq McIntosh, 23, from Valley Road, also deny wounding both victims with intent, possessing two handguns with intent to endanger life and aggravated vehicle-taking.

The children's playground was "right in the line of fire", the jury had previously been told.

The girl was playing on a climbing frame at the time while the 15-year-old boy was in the car park area on a push bike when a bullet hit him in the leg.

On Monday, prosecutors combined cellphone mast data with a string of CCTV videos to paint a picture of what they believe happened before the shooting.

Vincent Scully shared details collected by PC Dan Lagorio who appeared as a witness for the trial.

In the morning of the incident, a figure, believed to be Mr Durin, was spotted standing near an alleyway just off Ellerton Walk.

Data from a nearby cell tower placed his phone in the area at around 11:44 BST.

Cell data then showed the phone belonging to Mr De-Sousa was used to order a taxi from South Street to Valley Road, where Mr Durin was believed to have been, just under an hour later.

From 14:50, a series of videos captured on CCTV showed a grey Ford Focus, believed to be stolen, making its way to the scene.

The shooting, in Shelley Road, happened at 15:12, the jury heard.

Throughout the journey, phone activity was detected for Mr De-Sousa and Mr Durin but not Mr McIntosh, the court was told.

While a number of CCTV clips were shown to the court, defence barristers have argued the images were "too poor quality" to determine the identity of the people in the footage.

In a video shown to the court last week, the Focus reverses onto the scene while gunshots are fired out of an open window.

It swiftly drives away and a black and red Mini Cooper follows the same course.

Prosecutors said the Focus contained the three accused and alleged the intended targets were the occupants of a Mini Cooper which gave chase after the shooting.

The trial at Birmingham Crown Court continues.
