A woman has been charged with murder after a man was attacked at home in Wolverhampton.
Deavon Harrison, 46, was found seriously injured at a house in Dunstall Hill at 12:50 GMT on Saturday and died shortly after.
Kerry Francis, aged 42, has now been charged with Mr Harrison's murder.
Ms Francis appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Wednesday and was remanded for a further crown court appearance on Thursday.
Mr Harrison's mother paid tribute to her son, a father of seven, in a statement released by West Midlands Police.
"He will be sorely missed by his entire family. Me, his stepdad, 13 siblings, seven children and one granddaughter.
"We are extremely devastated, shocked and deeply saddened at this tragic news.
"He was the first-born son of his family. We will love and cherish you always and forever."
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward as they piece together Saturday's events.
