A man has been jailed for 22 years for multiple rapes and sexual assaults spanning nearly four decades.
Brian Guest, 65, from Aldridge, West Midlands, was sentenced at Stafford Crown Court on 23 January.
A complaint was made against Guest in October 2022 triggering a police investigation, which led several more women and young girls to come forward.
"This was an appalling sequence of abuse," Det Sgt Nadia Cooper said.
Guest, of Dumblederry Lane, was found guilty of all six counts at Wolverhampton Crown Court in June 2023,
The offences, including rape, sexual assault and indecent assault, took place over a period of 37 years, West Midlands Police said.
Det Sgt Cooper thanked the victims for their bravery in coming forward.
'Measure of closure'
She added: "We were able to build a case to bring him to justice and hopefully grant them some measure of closure.
"We would urge anyone who knows or thinks they were a victim of sexual abuse in the past to contact us and tell us your story.
"In doing so you could secure justice for yourself and others, as well as potentially protecting current or future victims."
