Human bones have been found on a piece of land in the West Midlands.

A member of the public made the discovery off Digby Drive in Marston Green on Saturday evening.

West Midlands Police, which was called at about 17:30 GMT, said the bones were those of an adult.

Inquiries were continuing to identify the person who died, the force said, adding that specialist forensic tests would take "some time".
