New trust for Bristol's Colston Hall music venue

A new trust has been formed to manage and run the Colston Hall music venue in Bristol.
The council-owned venue was recently revamped with a new bronze-coloured foyer at a cost of £20m.
Eight trustees have been appointed to the board including interim chairman Henry Kenyon who is also vice chairman of cancer charity CLICSargent.
Bristol City Council's deputy leader, Simon Cook, said setting up the trust would help the city champion music.
He added the move would "help secure a long-term and sustainable future for the Colston Hall".
A new role of chief executive of the trust is now being advertised and it is hoped an appointment will be made in February.
