Work begins on new council houses in Bristol

  • Published

Work has begun to build 12 new council houses in the Lawrence Weston area of Bristol.

The homes are being built after the Homes and Community Agency supported the scheme with a £775,000 grant.

Former garage sites at Crokeswood Walk, Barrowmead Drive and Saltmarsh Drive are being used for the development.

Councillor Anthony Negus said the homes were "much-needed" and although the city needed more to meet demand they were a "step in the right direction".
