Plimsoll Bridge in Bristol reopens after diesel damage
- Published
A busy Bristol bridge has reopened after diesel spilled from a lorry damaged the road surface.
The lorry, which was carrying 20 tonnes of animal feed, tipped over at Cumberland Basin on Thursday morning.
A council spokesman had said spilled fuel had wrecked the road surface on the A3029 Plimsoll Bridge and that it may not reopen until Monday.
The bridge, whose closure led to traffic problems, reopened at about 1430 BST on Saturday.
