Bristol fly-tippers dump tonnes of rubble

Council officers want to trace a tipper lorry with a blue and white cab and a loading crane on the back

Fly-tippers who dumped 22 tonnes of rubble outside a recycling centre have been warned they will be caught.

The piles of soil and building rubbish were left on the approach road to the Kingsweston Waste and Recycling Centre in Avonmouth, Bristol, in the early hours of 16 and 20 March.

Bristol City Council officers want to trace a blue and white tipper lorry with a loading crane on the back.

The council says it will "do everything in its power" to catch the offenders.

Councillor Guy Poultney said: "Fly-tipping costs the taxpayer money and picks the pocket of every trader who pays for these services."
