The youngest ever mayor of Bradley Stoke has been confirmed into the position.
Charlotte Walker, aged 24, has lived in the town for 13 years and is the sister of the previous mayor Ben Walker.
Miss Walker became the youngest councillor to represent the town near Bristol when she was elected last year and has been the vice-chair since then.
Former mayor Robert Jones, who held the position aged 27, said Miss Walker was "a fast learner".
Mr Jones was the town's youngest mayor until Miss Walker's appointment.
"I'm sure she'll make an excellent mayor and the other councillors and I are looking forward to working with her over the next year," he said.
