  • Published

More than 300,000 people have been buried at Arnos Vale Cemetery in Bristol since it opened in 1839.

Home to in excess of 60,000 headstones and monuments, the garden cemetery was recently awarded £500,000 of public money, which it must match, to meet its future running costs.

Juliette Randall, who heads the trust that runs Arnos Vale, speaks about the history of the cemetery and those who are buried there.
