UKIP's Ian Kealey is Avon and Somerset police candidate

The UK Independence Party has announced that Ian Kealey is to stand for the position of Avon and Somerset Police Commissioner.

Mr Kealey was among 15 candidates the party said would run for the new £85,000 post across the country.

Others running for the post are Pete Levy (Liberal Democrats), John Savage (Labour), Ken Maddock (Conservatives) and Sue Mountstevens (Independent).

Police and crime commissioners will be elected in 41 areas on 15 November.
