A set of scaffolding, which was being used for renovation work on a building in a Bristol street, has collapsed.

The structure in Princess Victoria Street in Clifton fell down in high winds at about 07:30 GMT.

A spokesman for CRBS Scaffolding said he believed the scaffolding had been untied from the building by another contractor.

It is understood no-one was injured. Workmen spent the morning clearing the road which reopened later on Thursday.
