Freddie Hussey died in Bristol Children's Hospital from injuries sustained

A manslaughter charge has been dropped against a man accused of causing the death of a three-year-old in Bristol.

Tony Davies, 37, of Hallen, appeared at Bristol Crown Court on Tuesday when he pleaded not guilty to a charge of causing death by dangerous driving.

Freddie Hussey died in hospital after being hit by a Land Rover pulling a trailer in Bedminster on 27 January.

In court the charge of manslaughter was removed from the file and the judge set a trial date of 9 March.
