Police have said a man spotted in London who was thought to be missing Bristol DJ Derek Morris is not him.

Last week, a photo was shared on social media sites appearing to show the DJ outside Waterloo railway station.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said officers had identified and spoken to the man photographed.

"Our thoughts are with Derek's family and our investigation continues," he added.

Derek Serpell-Morris, 74, who played sets at Glastonbury and gigs across the UK, disappeared from his home in July.

He is described as a white male, of average height, of slim build with grey hair, and who also wears glasses.

The picture was shared on social media and was passed to Mr Morris's great niece, Jennifer Griffiths, who said she and other family members who had seen the photo believed it was him.
