Figurines marking each life lost on the first day of the battle of the Somme are being displayed on College Green in Bristol
The 19,240 shrouds made by Somerset artist Rob Heard was first displayed in Exeter on 1 July, to mark the 100th anniversary of the battle
It has taken volunteers a day to lay out the figures outside Bristol Cathedral
Bristol Cathedral will show the art at College Green from 11 to 18 November
Each of the figurines were wrapped in a hand-stitched shroud to represent each of the soldiers who died in France
Artist Rob Heard, from Somerset, said he is now creating a shroud for each of the 72,246 men whose bodies were never recovered after the Battle of the Somme
