A large fire broke out in a derelict building in the centre of Bristol.

Crews were called to the empty boathouse next to Redcliffe Bridge at about 12:00 BST.

Four appliances tackled the blaze and an Avon Fire and Rescue spokesman said "all persons had been accounted for".

He said two appliances are still at the scene and fire crews will be in attendance for "a little longer", before Bristol City Council moves in to secure the premises.
